This show will be our first at a brand new venue, which is set to become the home of Baby Blue Banana’s English theatre productions in 2013. The venue is MUSZI Art Centre at Blaha Lujza tér. It’s on the third floor of the old Corvin Department store. The entrance door is on Somogyi Béla street. Just look for the red door with the MUSZI logo on it.

Budapest’s Játékszín will reopen as a private theatre and celebrate its centenary today with a production entitled Mr. és Mrs. Owners Alexandra Metz, Tamás Bánk, Kristóf Németh and Attila Szűcs hope to stage 15-20 shows a month at the Teréz körút venue by next spring.

The Human Resources Ministry has invited bids for the post of director of the National Theatre, as the five-year term of present director Róbert Alföldi will end next spring. The new director can start work on July 1, 2013 for five years.

The celebrations will begin on August 19 when the 'Street of Hungarian Flavours' will open at noon between the Buda side of the Erzsébet híd and Bem tér. Awards will be presented for Hungary’s best cake, sugar-free cake and ice cream. Pop music will play on Clark Ádám tér and on Bem tér from 8pm.
