Hungary will join the global green action Earth Hour on March 19 with programmes addressing the theme of sustainable innovations, organisers said. The main venue of programmes will be the Budapest Palace of Arts Müpa where a science trade show will present Hungarian innovations developed to offer solutions to problems posed by climate change.

In their place, local governments can offer so-called “settlement assistance”, but who receives how much is now entirely left up to the local governments.

Hungarian director László Nemes’s work is the first debut film (Steven Soderbergh’s “Sex, Lies, and Videotape”) to be given the Palme in twenty-six years.
