Rossmann Magyarország Revenue Reaches HUF 52 bln

The Hungarian unit of German health and beauty products retailer Rossmann saw a rise of 10% in its revenue last year, reaching HUF 52 bln, Rossmann Magyarország told Hungarian news agency MTI. After-tax profit reportedly grew by 50%, reaching HUF 2.3 bln, and the company expects earnings growth to be in the double digits this year, too, MTI said.

Almost 1000 acres of maize found to have been grown with genetically modified seeds have been destroyed throughout Hungary deputy state secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development Lajos Bognár said. The GMO maize has been ploughed under, the PlanetSave learned from Lajos Bognár, but pollen has not spread from the maize, the minister added.

According to charges, the 45-year-old man produced drugs in a lab in northern Budapest between 2010 and 2012, the police said on its website. The suspect mailed the drugs to clients mostly in the United States and Australia.
