Construction company KÉSZ has made a bid to buy the Hungarian unit of German DIY chain Praktiker, Napi Gazdaság reports. The Hungarian construction group, with annual turnover of Ft 70 billion, has made an indicative bid for Praktiker Építési és Barkács Piacok.

Tosca was an eagerly awaited piece, but its eventual reception was lukewarm. It was only gradually that this fast-paced work, often called an action opera, became a box-office success. Géza Csáth, who wrote about it a few years after the Italian premiere, credited Puccini with a comprehensive and thorough knowledge of theatre, music and the extremely complex psychological processes of reception.

This is not the first time the Szeged Contemporary Dance Company have been featured at the Spring Festival, or have performed with a symphonic orchestra. Following their cooperation with the Hungarian National Philharmonic for a production of The Wooden Prince, with choreography by Tamás Juronics, the company now appear with the Pannon Philharmonic.
