First Dance Film Festival To Be Held In Budapest

Budapest will host the first Szerpentin Dance Film Festival from May 17 to 19, organisers told MTI. The festival, to be held in Kino Cafe cinema, will feature dance films, documentaries, video arts and music videos from Hungary and abroad. The programme will include NY Export: Opus Jazz, a 2010 film by the New York City Ballet.

Organisers rightly claim that this contemporary arts fest offers unique, 'not-to-be-missed' forms of entertainment. With almost 110 events at 40 venues, the colourful programme includes productions in classical and pop music, jazz and world music, opera, theatre and contemporary circus, along with evenings of literature and visual art exhibits.

Their minimalism built up into monumental forms from very refined elements will be anticipated by the Hungarian Jü featuring a great saxophone player from Norway, Kjetil Møster, who they will present their first album together with.
