Festival season is hotting up in Hungary, so here's a guide to what's worth visiting for a one-off concert or a week long party in the open air. The biggie is always Sziget, this year with Billie Eilish and Sleaford Mods headlining, but it’s worth considering the more niche, boutique bashes like V4, SZIN, Katlan, OZORA, and the cultish Kolorádó in the Buda hills.
'Mentes (Food Intolerances) Festival', ELTE Campus Budapest, 25 -26 February

The 'Food Intolerances Festival' will focus on gluten-, lactose- and sugar-free, health-conscious products and services, where everyone can find the right products or diet for themselves.
In addition to the many exhibitors, there will be professional presentations, a small market, a gastro courtyard, vegan wine and cheese and lots of other interesting things to see.

Although not all domestic festivals will be missed this year, it is estimated that revenues will fall by 50-60% compared to pre-pandemic levels, Andor Posztobányi, managing director of the National Event Office (ORI), told business daily Világgazdaság.

Mr. Dyer joined The British International School, Budapest as Principal in 2015. Before moving to Hungary he started as a mathematics teacher in London, then headed overseas in 1986. He held leadership positions in five different British international schools in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Vietnam over a period of 30 years.
