State Secretary: Homeless Care System Well Prepared For Winter

The capacity of homeless shelters has been raised by 1,500 to 11,100 nationwide to accommodate growing demand in the winter period, the human resources ministry’s state secretary for social affairs said. Additionally, 7,500 day shelter places are available, Károly Czibere said.

The Hungarian Football Association (MLSZ) has appointed Zoltán Szélesi acting coach for the last two matches the national eleven is scheduled to play this year. Over the past two years Szélesi, 35, has been assistant to his predecessor, Bernd Storck, who quit his post on October 17 after the team’s failure to qualify for the 2018 World Championship.
Sausage Festival In Budapest, 13 - 15 October

This annual festival featuring 250 types of spiced up meat will be held at the Hungarian Railway Museum this year. As well as lots of porky specials available along several 'Sausage Streets', there will be family programs, folklore shows, 'nostalgic music programs' and dance, plus apparently presentations of enormous sausages, during this three day special Hungarian gastro event.
