Hungary’s head coach since the summer of 2015, Storck, has left his post with immediate effect after a rollercoaster two years in charge of the men’s national team.
His assistant Andreas Möller leaves with him but his other countrymen in the national-team set-up will remain in their positions.
As a player, Szélesi spent his professional career in Hungarian, German, French, Dutch and Greek clubs. He was capped 28 times.
The national eleven will face Luxembourg in an away match on November 10 and Costa Rica on home ground on November 14.
