The leadership of the town-hall of Budapest has always been trying to fight against smog but so far they have failed to reduce contamination significantly. Now, the freshly elected mayor of Budapest, István Tarlós, has decided to work to solve the problem.

"Suzuki Motor Corp. is recalling 110,000 cars, some of them made in Hungary, due to a possible flaw in the side mirrors, Japanese news agency Kyodo News announced. Apparently the mirrors need additional glue, as they might fall off.

"Taxpayers paid a total of Ft 2.4 billion property tax up to August 31, tax authority APEH announced. Most of the tax revenues, some Ft 2.3 billion, was collected on luxury cars. Around Ft 250 million property tax was paid on boats and yachts, and Ft 6 million on planes.
