Judgment in Hungary, a documentary about the trial of the serial murderers of Roma in Hungary from 2008-09, has received two awards at the Sarajevo film festival, writes vs.hu. Besides the award granted by the festival’s jury (chaired this year by the retired Hungarian director Béla Tarr) the film also received the Human Rights Award.

Hungarian navigation software developer NNG, which makes the iGO application, will open a development centre in Szeged (S Hungary) in the autumn, chairman David Wiernik announced. NNG will hire 200 people, mainly programmers, to staff the centre, Wiernik said.

Hungary’s public debt, calculated at nominal value, in line with Maastricht methodology, reached 25,432 billion forints (EUR 81.2bn), or 85.1% of GDP, at the end of June, preliminary data on financial accounts published by the National Bank of Hungary (NBH) on Monday show. Transactions raised the debt by 434 billion forints during the period. The weaker forint boosted it by 65 billion forints. ...
