Second Place For Hungary At Miss World 2014 Beauty Contest

Hungarian Edina Kulcsár came second at the finals of the Miss World 2014 beauty contest, held in London on Sunday. The title was won by 21-year-old South African Rolene Strauss, who had the crown put on her head by last year’s winner, Megan Young from the Philippines.

The 2015 Gift of the Gab kicks off this Wednesday evening (17 September) at 7.30pm in the Cotton Club on Jokai Utca. Five contestants - Marcus Frakes (USA), Gerard Lucey (IRE), Jwana Stevenson (NI), Steven Nelson (USA), and Harlan Cockburn (UK) - will take to the stage in an effort to see which of them has the gift of the gab - that innate ability to talk about anything, to anyone, anywhere.

Hooters today announced Hungarian-native Nikolett Szollath as Miss Hooters World 2014. Szollath earned the title during the 18th annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas last week.

Hungary’s András Kállay Saunders, with his song titled Running, has qualified for the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest. Based on professional scores and audience voting, he got into the top 10 of 16 contestants in the first semifinal. He will perform in the second half of the grand final on Saturday.

Budapest Costes' Chef Set To Star In Portuguese Masterchef

Miguel Rocha Vieira, Executive Chef of Budapest's Michelin star-winning restaurant Costes, beat off the competition of some of Portugal's top chefs to win a place on the judging panel of the Portuguese version of Masterchef. Filming for the second Portuguese edition of the popular cooking contest will start in late January and will be screened on national television in March.
