A civilian aircraft travelling from Abu Dhabi to London was intercepted by Hungarian Gripen fighter planes early on Thursday after it entered Hungary’s airspace unannounced. The Falcon 2000 jet was intercepted at 5:40am. The Gripens successfully established contact with the plane and then escorted it out of Hungarian airspace just after 6am, the defence ministry said.
