Budapest and Warsaw are in agreement that central Europe can become the engine of European growth, Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s minister of foreign affairs and trade, said after meeting his Polish counterpart Witold Waszczykowski. US medical technology company Becton Dickinson is investing 34 billion forints (EUR 110m) to expand its syringe plant in Tatabanya, in north-west Hungary, Péter Szijjártó, the minister of foreign affairs and trade, announced on Wednesday. The government is supporting the investment with an additional 2.7 billion forint grant, he added.
