Swimming Dispute Taken To Court
Tamás Gyárfás, president of the Hungarian Swimming Federation, is taking legal action against what the federation calls the “open spreading of lies and slander” in recent days.

The federation is suing one time open water federation captain Zsolt Németh for claiming in a television statement that the federation is buying votes at the general meeting. Contrary to his claims the federation receives subsidies exclusively on the basis of achievements, Gyárfás argues.

Gyárfás is also taking legal action against Olympic champion József Szabó who has made allegations about the federation chief collecting commissions on the basis of concluded sponsorship contracts.

Gyárfás said that since 1993 he has received neither a commission, a salary nor reimbursement for expenses from the federation.
