A joint partnership was this year renewed between Coop Rally and Hertz in which the car rental company agreed to provide nearly 100 cars of different types for the participants in the event. Some were competitors, others event organizers and also representatives from the media.

A new pay-by-phone parking system was introduced throughout Hungary on July 1. The system is operated as a state monopoly by Nemzeti Mobilfizetési Zrt. The new service is available to anyone and anywhere under the same terms. Drivers can choose to make payments directly to Nemzeti Mobilfizetési or via Magyar Telekom, Telenor, Vodafone, Mpark, Evopay and Sense/Net Zrt.
