EU finance ministers, who decided in April to suspend the funds, are expected to formally confirm the EC decision on June 22.

The companies were caught off guard by the government's plans to launch a Ft 2 per minute tax on telephone calls from July and have not factored this into their business plans, Livia Benko, head of the Direct Marketing Association told the business daily.
