Hungary has improved its position among European Union members by three grades on the European Union Justice Scoreboard assessing the independence of the judicial system. Based on World Economic Forum data, last year Hungary was ranked in 72nd place on the list of 144 countries and this year it is at 66th place on a list of 148 countries.
