CEE Property Markets: Stalled Recovery Or The Beginning of Another Recession?

According to KPMG’s new publication CEE Property Lending Barometer 2012, banks appear to be even less sanguine about a recovery of the real estate market. To assess the prospects for bank financing in the CEE real estate sector, KPMG surveyed 35 of the region’s leading banks. Despite the gloom, real estate projects with a strong business case do receive finance. It’s a typical scene in the region.

Fresh news is that The Caledonia must close on the 4th of March for two months, apparently NAV has just contacted the pub's owners saying they made an "administrative mistake" about the closing date of 3 January. All who are justifiably in need will receive medical treatment, health state secretary Miklós Szócska announced, following a draft decree suggesting that cancer patients who cannot be operated on would not have access to expensive medication.

Every Christmas I was eagerly waiting for the chance to attack the nicely wrapped presents under the tree.
