The 17th FINA World Championships has announced it will celebrate watersports and sportspeople in a contemporary circus and dance show on July 30 in the Papp László Sport Arena as part of the closing ceremony of the event, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

President János Áder formally opened a Hungarian House created to help promote Hungary’s 20214 Olympic bid in Rio de Janeiro on Friday. The venue, where Hungary’s past Olympic successes and an interactive exhibition presenting the Budapest’s 2024 Olympic bid are on display, is located in an equestrian club on the shore of Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon and is open for supporters.

The Pancho Arena of the Ferenc Puskás Football Academy in the village of Felcsút was inaugurated on Monday. The stadium located in the village near Budapest where Prime Minister Viktor Orbán owns a cottage, and built at a cost of 3.8 billion forints (EUR 12.4m), meets the UEFA 2 standards, making it suitable to host play-off rounds and matches between national teams.

This fantastic day brought so much joy and emotions to all of us it would be hard to list them all in one small space. We raised over 200,000 forints from t-shirt sale, VK Seedling re-designed bags, charity stickers and Heart Over Heels books. A group of 25 disabled Seedlings also joined us for 7 ...
