Updated: 100 Arcade Machines to Take You Back to Childhood @ Savoya Park Budapest
From Arcadia Team: Arcadia Savoya closes its doors on the 25th of February this year. Many thanks to you all for the last year! We are happy that you have kept visiting and our gratitude extends to the Savoya Park Mall, for being ever so welcoming to us.

We, as always,  have plans. Should anything concrete materialize, this community will be the first to share it with. In the meantime,  we suggest to use the opportunity while it is still available,  to visit Buda's own interactive arcade exhibition!

Online Arcadia tickets can be purchased until the 1st of February, and can be used till the 25th of February 2024 the latest /in February,  tickets will be still available on the spot.

These changes will of course,  in no way affacet the operation of our flagship store,  The Budapest Pinball Museum. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Earlier:

"When we opened Arcadia Savoya, our goals were keeping the "Arcadia spirit" alive, bringing its community back to life while taking care of the 'old', well-known brand, Arcadia: our former exhibition with guest stars like fantasy writer Ian Livingstone, The Hobbit actor Adam Brown and others.

Whereas the well-known faces, the fans of former Arcadia exhibitions, don't seem to flood the place, we 'acquired' some new visitors. Apparently, families visiting the Savoya Park Mall are now the most dedicated arcade gamers at the venue.

Later, as we started to see our visitors' five star reviews coming, as well as the number of guests increasing slowly but surely, we decided to rethink our 3-month 'pop-up store' plan.

We sincerely trust that Arcadia Savoya can grow into a widely known attraction, similarly to its 'parent institute' The Budapest Pinball Museum. So we decided to take a bold move and will stay for a while at The Savoya Park Mall.

We're looking forward to welcoming our visitors again at Arcadia Savoya...and of course, The Budapest Pinball Museum. After the 1st of March, too!

Earlier:
Popular tourist attraction Budapest Pinball Museum launched a new, temporary exhibition at the Savoya Park Mall on the Buda side.

Arcadia Savoya is home to 100 machines, including arcade cabinet classics like Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Golden Axe, RoboCop. Mortal Kombat 4, The Simpsons. Visitors have unlimited access to all machines by paying the entrance fee. The collection will be available until the end of February 2023.

‘We're happy to have the opportunity to exhibit these arcade video cabinets (both the old and the new ones) in Budapest. A significant collection of gaming history becomes available in the capital, parallel to its ‘parent institution’, The Budapest Pinball Museum. Arcadia Savoya may be smaller in size than former, 3-day long Arcadia exhibitions, but it will be available for at least 3 months!’ - Budapest Pinball Museum founder and owner Balázs Pálfi says about the unique collection.

Arcadia Savoya deploys machines from different eras of arcade history. The place is nothing short of a sanctuary for arcade pilgrims. For example, one of the heavy-weight stars is Pac-Man, the most popular, and also one of the highest grossing arcade videos of all time, that generated more than $2.5 billion. Now it has taken its place at Arcadia, too (where it does not eat change anymore).

Arcadia Savoya is fully interactive - you can have a go on every machine. However, in addition to playing games and exhibiting machines, there will be other goals, too. The Budapest Pinball Museum is dedicated to nurturing the traditions of the golden ages of gaming.

Similarly, Arcadia Savoya will also be telling stories about the once popular Amusement Park of Budapest that was closed so disgracefully years ago. Relics of and presentations about the late Park will both be part of the Arcadia experience, including the huge, iconic Davy Jones pirate head from the Budapest scenic railway built in 1973.

Visitors can even drop by and play during Christmas shopping, as well: they can stay and play as long as they like,  and even come and go throughout the day, using their wristband). By paying only the entrance fee, visitors have unlimited access to all machines.

Location: Savoya Park Mall, XI district, Hunyadi János út 19.
