250,000 Report Respiratory Infections in Hungary
A respiratory epidemic has assumed considerable proportions in Hungary, largely due to the coronavirus, according to Szabolcs Békássy, founder and president of the Online Organisation of Family Doctors.

He told InfoRádió on Sunday that in the last week of November more than 250,000 people went to family doctors with symptoms of respiratory infection.

This is an extremely high number and does not include the annual influenza epidemic, which will probably materialise in the coming weeks, he added.

Békássy said he was informed by the National Health and Pharmaceutical Centre that 100,000 new types of Pfizer vaccine against the coronavirus are available, and can be obtained at the vaccination points of leading county hospitals.
