The Students Network (HaHa) admitted to Klubrádió on Monday that it has received American assistance, but said that did not include political influence. Activist Andrea Kóbor told the radio station that an NGO had offered advice, as reported by Magyar Nemzet after the newspaper obtained the movement’s entire internal correspondence.

Mayor Tarlós has given permission for the Budapest Transport Centre to make public transport free of charge today, 14 January, until midnight. This unusual measure was prompted by the heavy snow last night and the related issues for car drivers. It's not clear whether this initiative will continue if the bad weather continues.

Accountants believe that 19% of total costs claimed by companies are questionable, according to a survey of 1,500 accountants. The study by chartered tax experts association Moklasz and training centre Penta Unió found that accountants felt they were aware of about 13% of all irregular invoices, the same figure as in 2011.
