Since its foundation in 2000, the Hungarian Immigration Office has never seen so many asylum applications as it did in 2013. There were nine times as many asylum seekers in 2013 as in the year before, said Zuzsanna Végh, General Director of the Immigration and Nationality Office.

Citing the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union (TASZ), the paper said Hungarian potential voters had been misadvised by material placed by the National Election Office in the Hungarian consulate in New York as well as the embassy in Washington, DC.
