Hungary’s parliamentary parties were divided on a constitutional amendment proposal aimed at managing terrorist threats after a debate on the bill in parliament’s defence and national security committees. The leftist opposition argued that the amendment is unnecessary while the radical nationalist Jobbik chose to withhold judgment on it for the time being.

The drivers blocked traffic in two lanes out of six on Elisabeth Bridge with a demand that Uber be banned and regulations enforced. This is the sixth time Budapest taxi drivers have mounted a demonstration against Uber since January.
