The ruling Fidesz party labelled the resolution as a “second Tavares report”, but welcomed support from the European People’s Party. “The second Tavares report was passed only with the liberals, the left, the greens and the communists all joining forces,” Fidesz lawmaker Gergely Gulyás said, adding that his party has a clear antiimmigration stance.

Hungarian football team Vác FC recently won 3-2, against Bölcskei SE, to the delight of expat owner and chairman Mr. John P. Marshall (pictured on left, with previous British Ambassador to Hungary Mr Jonathon Knott). This game was packed with goals as the video below shows, for the record the match scorers were Gulyás (2'), Kószás (22'), Pölöskei (35') and Miskovicz (9'), Tóth (19').

Cool but sunny weather welcomed the team as Vác FC travelled to FC Dabas last Sunday in the days Pest County Derby. Vác FC were focused on a victory in order to prevent Kozármisleny closing the gap at the top of the table and secondly, to get revenge for their loss against Dabas last autumn at Vác City Stadium.

Áron Veress, former head of the youth chapter of Fidesz, was arrested on Friday, when he attempted to exchange a counterfeit €100 note at a currency change office in Keleti train station. The owner of the office informed the police when he noticed what was clearly a forged note.
