Low salaries and poor working conditions are causing doctors to either go abroad or work at private hospitals. Thanks to a 900 million forint (EUR 2.92m) investment in health care, lung transplantations can now be done in Hungary, the government spokesman said. Besides Austria, Hungary is the only country in the region where such operations can be done, Éva Kurucz said in the National Oncology Institute.
