Twelve Syrian illegal immigrants, seven children and five adults, have been hospitalised with diarrhoea in Szeged, Szabolcs Szenti, of the Csongrád county police, said. They received preliminary medical care at a health screening centre at a border police station, he said. The results of tests can be expected in 48-72 hours, he added.

A man identified as a Syrian illegal migrant was taken to hospital in a critical condition after falling off the underside of a lorry travelling in the direction of Austria on Hungary’s M1 motorway, police in the city of Győr, in western Hungary, said.
