A direct flight is to be launched between Budapest and Kuwait City, courtesy of Jazeera Airways. The memorandum of understanding on this was signed in January between the airline and Budapest Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, and the flights will operate from June to September 2025.

Holders of baby bonds will be paid a record yield of 20.6pc on February 1, the State Treasury said. The yield on the bonds will add up to around HUF 32bn, the Treasury said.
