Rembrandt and the Painting of the Dutch Golden Age, a large-scale exhibition to run in the Museum of Fine Arts from 1 November surveys the period of 17th-century Dutch art, one of the golden ages of European culture. The exhibition is built around Rembrandt, the greatest master of the period, by whom 20 masterpieces will be on display.

Magnum Contact Sheets is a major new touring exhibition produced by Magnum Photos in collaboration with Forte di Bard, where the show was presented for the first time in June 2013 before touring worldwide. The Hungarian government will spend a 4.7 billion forints on the pavilion representing the country at the 2015 World Expo in Milan, government commissioner Géza Szőcs said on Tuesday. The planned pavilion will “powerfully present Hungary’s themes, and the design is appreciated by both the Italian press and architects,” he said.

The Hungarian government has decided to launch of program worth over HUF 100 million to popularize reading literature. An international survey on media consumption has found that Hungarians spend over 6.5 hours reading books but nearly a third of the under-25 Hungarians never touch a book.
