The European Union has done “virtually nothing” to tackle problems concerning human rights laws and practices in Hungary, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said in a report. The Hungarian state must pay more than 14,000 Euros in compensation and legal fees to a woman in northeast Hungary who was deprived of her disability pension, the European Court of Human Rights said in a non-final ruling. The judges said that Hungary violated her right to property.
