I really love it when the name of a pub fits so nicely into the title of an article. So, yes, De Place is the newest addition to the continually resurgent Dohany utca, at number 39, just a couple of blocks from the New York Palace. Staff and customers at expat favourite The Caledonia Pub were very scary this Halloween! :) The magician and karaoke added to the party atmosphere as more than 150 crammed in to this Scottish venue in Budapest.

As these snapshots show, this Xmas event treated the lads from Budapest Celtic and a bunch of other expats to karaoke at The Caledonia and then live music at Roctogon basement club, both on Mozsár street in the 6th district of Budapest.

The International Women’s Club Association of Budapest (IWCA) organised a special night out on Saturday March 8th, and many eXpat ladies attended - plus one or two men.
