Over 2,000 residents had to leave their 14th District homes yesterday after World War II artillery shells were found on Istvánmezei út. The two shells, unearthed during sewerage works, were defused by bomb disposal experts in the evening, allowing residents to return to their homes.

In 2013 the Annual Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, 10 November. The traditional service and wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the Commonwealth War Cemetery of Solymár at 10:55. Everybody is welcome to attend the ecumenical service. Those who do are kindly requested to arrive at the cemetery no later than 10:45 please. The service lasts approximately 20 minutes.
