MikulásGyár: Delivering A Merrier Xmas In Hungary

MikulásGyár is open between 9 and 19 December (10am to 10pm) in 2010 for the sixth time at Felvonulási Tér to collect donations in order to offer a Merrier Xmas for 200.000 children. Helping needy families and children is the plan in 2010 as well at this 10-day-long humanitarian event.

According to Hungarian custom it is Saint Nicholas (Mikulás) who comes bearing gifts for children on his name day, December 6th.

"Ethiopian marathon-man Herkolo Ashenafi won the ’25th Spar International Budapest Marathon and Running Festival’ in the men’s category with a time of 2:23:13 on Sept 26, 2010. The reportedly 42.2 kilometre annual marathon this year took place in rainy weather, in Budapest.
