Áron Veress, former head of the youth chapter of Fidesz, was arrested on Friday, when he attempted to exchange a counterfeit €100 note at a currency change office in Keleti train station. The owner of the office informed the police when he noticed what was clearly a forged note.

Hertz Car Hire has just announced the opening of a new branch office in Szeged from January 14 to extend the national coverage of its car rental services. Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the sidelines of an EU summit in Milan and discussed current energy and foreign affairs issues. “We mainly talked about foreign policy issues, as it was clear from the start that German- Hungarian bilateral relations are all in order and the relationship is growing,” Orbán said.
