Folk is a deep well nourishing several other genres; it is immensely rich, personal, simple and tolerant. We do not wish to define this genre, nether do we aim to tell what belongs under the notion of “folk”. We are just glad for having been able to offer a chance every spring since 2010 for everyone to have their own choice from a rich inventory of music.

The opposition Liberals and the leftist Democratic Coalition (DK) party called for the resignation of central bank governor György Matolcsy over recent financing matters surrounding the central bank. The Liberals urged opposition parties to join a legal proposal calling on the prime minister to dismiss Matolcsy over “a breach of the rule of avoiding monetary financing”.

The selected scores will be performed in the framework of the concert entitled, Some Music, Something Else. The concert will be the closing event of the exhibition.

Sziget Festival is a non-stop music and arts festival with hundreds of program offered every day for its 7 days. This time some new names have been added to the line-up such as Afrojack, Die Antwoord, Skunk Anansie, Troyboi and many more. Sziget is held on a lovely green island in the middle of Budapest between 10-17 August. Advance round 1 tickets are available until 5th May.
‘No Obstacle’ To Counter-Terrorism Action Plan

Almost all obstacles barring approval of the government’s counterterrorism action plan have been overcome, a government official said after five-party talks on the package. An expert consultation will be held on the package on Wednesday and the government plans to submit it next week, meaning parliament can discuss it from April 25, interior ministry state secretary Károly Kontrát said.
