New Record High Hit by Budapest Stock Exchange's BUX Index
The Budapest Stock Exchange’s leading index, the BUX, closed October at 107,319.9 points, rising by 8.5% from the end of September and reaching a new all-time high.

The index rose further on Monday, closing at 107,764.

The total spot market turnover amounted to Ft 333 billion in October, averaging Ft 15.9 billion per day.

OTP shares continued to dominate trading with Ft 195 billion in turnover, followed by Richter at Ft 36 billion and MOL at Ft 30 billion.

Among small and mid-cap stocks, Rába and 4iG, both listed in the Premium category, stood out with gains of 58.6% and 54.4%, respectively.

Wood & Co. remained the most active brokerage last month, with turnover of Ft 164.4 billion, followed by Concorde at Ft 155.4 billion and Erste Ft 122.4 billion.
