Drone Imagery: Hungary’s Longest Bridge

A drone imagery company has published a stunning 5-minute clip of the Kőröshegy viaduct, Hungary’s longest bridge. The 1872-metre long viaduct, on the route of the M7 motorway between Zamárdi and Balatonszárszó at the southern shore of Lake Balaton in Somogy county, was handed over to traffic in 2007.

Hungarian police have released footage of a foreign driver accelerating past 330kph (205mph) in his Lamborghini Huracan on Hungary’s M7 motorway last September. Although thankfully no fatalities resulted from the crash, the 36-year-old driver of the foreign-registered car faces charges of reckless driving and endangerment and his passenger suffered serious injuries.

Judgment in Hungary, a documentary about the trial of the serial murderers of Roma in Hungary from 2008-09, has received two awards at the Sarajevo film festival, writes vs.hu. Besides the award granted by the festival’s jury (chaired this year by the retired Hungarian director Béla Tarr) the film also received the Human Rights Award.
