The transaction is one of the first big data technological acquisitions internationally, Radoop told MTI. A state-run national mobile payment system that allows motorists to pay for parking and motorways will be introduced across Hungary from July 1. The IT system was completed two weeks ago and tests are under way with the involvement of parking service providers and mobile payment operators, Nemzeti Mobilfizetési Zrt (NMFR), the state company overseeing the project, said.

The number of internet users between the ages of 15 and 49 who use mobile devices to access the internet has risen to 51% of such users in 2014 from 39% in 2013, market-research company GfK told MTI on Thursday, citing a company survey in March of 1,500 people in the age group who reported using the internet at least once per week.

Consumer protection association FEOSZ on Thursday said it won a court case against Magyar Telekom for adding a 142-forint transaction fee to the bills of clients who paid their balances in person or by postal cheque between May and November, 2012.
