Twenty-two civil organisations have launched a campaign urging voters to stay away from the upcoming quota referendum or participate but cast an invalid vote. “The referendum question does not promote the common cause. It will not provide a solution to the problem of refugees or serve the future of the European Union,” the organisers said in a statement.

The reconstructed Andrássy statue will return to its original place in its former glory, he said, noting that its inauguration completes the process of restoring the pre-1944 look of the Square.
