Fidesz has maintained its strong lead over opposition parties, notching up 37% of support among all voters in Nézőpont’s June poll. The radical nationalist Jobbik party had 11% support, the Socialists 8%, the Democratic Coalition (DK) 4% and the E-PM party alliance 3%, the poll said. Green party LMP was backed by 4 %.

The Kúria, Hungary’s supreme court, on Tuesday reduced the prison sentence of former Socialist Budapest district mayor György Hunvald to 12 months from 18 months for property fraud.
