On May 2nd 2012 the famous landmark reopens to the public with the first Hungarian visual exhibition. The more than a 101-year-old Margaret Island Water Tower is an industrial monument of Budapest, which is situated on Margaret Island, one of the most beautiful islands of the Danube, which runs through whole Europe and flows between Buda and Pest.

The official programme is going to commence with a flag hoisting ceremony at 10:30 hrs. It will be followed by a short greeting delivered by Janos Gaspar (Mr), president of The Hungarian Foundation for General Education on Transportation.
