The European Centre for Entrepreneurship and Policy Reform just released the report The Geography of Europe’s Brain Business Jobs by Dr. Nima Sanandaji and Prof. Stefan Fölster, regarding the percentage of ‘brain business jobs’ in Europe. Hungary ranked well: Budapest occupies the 12th place.

An extraordinary series of programmes called ‘The Spirit of Hungaricum” is opening in Gerbeaud House near the Vörösmarty tér Advent Fair which has been chosen the most beautiful Christmas Fair in Europe. Organisers offer cultural distractions both to Hungarian visitors and foreign tourists through a china exhibition with hundreds of Herend Porcelain artefacts on display ...
Hungarian State Folk Ensemble - House of Tradition: Stag Song, Palace Of Arts, 3 November

The stag is an ancient and universal symbol in cultural history - and its discarded and regrown antlers have come to represent eternal renewal. It stands at the entrance to the golden path, bidding us follow into our own spiritual world. The stag is at once a demon, a shaman, a wizard, a fairy or king of the dead, capable of drawing those who hunt it into a new and different world.

The primary aim of this exhibition is to spotlight, through symbolism, the relationship between the Hungarian Revolutions of 1848 and 1956, and in doing so, to reveal a continuity in the use of symbols that transcended changes in the political power structure.

Budapest Art Factory is pleased to announce the solo exhibition of New York based Korean guest artist, Hosook Kang, who was invited to participate in the artist residency program in August and September, 2016. The vernissage of the show titled In Light takes place on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 6 to 9 pm. at the Project Space of the studio complex.
'Sand In My Eyes', Sudanese Travelling Exhibition, 3 - 30 May

The photographer and author Enikö Nagy has spent several years collecting everyday moments - in photography and spoken word - from over 45 tribes and ethnic groups across 30,000km of Sudan, in some of the hardest-to-access regions of the world, to produce the English-Arabic bilingual poetic picture book SAND IN MY EYES: Sudanese Moments, that this exhibition is drawn from.
