The Hungarian State Folk Ensemble is touring the United States; there will be a concert to help elderly musicians who are stewards of traditions; a new full-size program featuring dances from Sub-Carpathia will be compiled; and decision has been made to expand the Museum of Applied Folk Art. A fund-raising event will be held in Budapest at Becketts Irish Bar on Saturday at 7:00 P.M., on the 23rd of November 2013, to support the victims of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in the Philippines. The event is organized by Filipinos and other foreign nationals living in Hungary in cooperation with the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid.
