The New York Metropolitan Opera Live in HD broadcast series for 2017-2018 comprises two operas by Mozart and two by Puccini, as well as one piece each from Bellini, Thomas Adés, Donizetti, Rossini, Verdi and Massenet. The new season offers a new Met production, along with two Met premieres to the millions of viewers in the nearly 70 countries participating in the programme.

Now on until 4 June. As part of the HungarianFest organised by the Hungarian State Opera, the new production entitled Bartók DanceTriptych promises to be a unique treat for our dance-loving viewers. Three one-act dance pieces composed by Béla Bartók are presented in one evening, each of them choreographed by a different artist.

At the end of the Hungarian Season, over the course of four weeks, between 10 May and 10 June, 2017, two centuries of Hungarian opera will be presented in a grand series that includes works by composers as early as József Ruzitska, as recent as Judit Varga and Levente Gyöngyösi, and all major Hungarian opera composers in between, as well as several indispensable choreographic works.

Directed by Yaron Lifschitz and premiered in 2016, the Circa contemporary circus ensemble's show fuses virtuosic forms of movement and poetic moments in a captivating and moving harmony. Conceived for seven acrobats and a live string quartet, the production also drew inspiration from the quartets of Dmitri Shostakovich.
