The jobless rate fell to 8% in the March-May period, down from 10.5% in the same period of last year, the Central Statistics Office announced on Friday. The number of unemployed fell 104,000 on an annual basis. The jobless rate in the 15-24 age group fell furthest, from 27% to 19.4%.
