Green Bus Fleet Expands in Hungary - New E-Buses Worth HUF 4.4 Billion Hit Streets

MAV Group said on Friday that as a continuations of its Green Bus Programme it will put into service 20 fully-electric Ikarus 120e buses in six settlements with HUF 4.4bn of funding from the HUMDA Hungarian Motorsport and Green Mobility Development Agency and the Energy Ministry.
The first seven buses are already operating in Keszthely, Komarom, Hajduszoboszlo and Balatonfured. This will be followed by six buses entering service in Tata. Komlo will also receive green buses through the scheme.
In the Green Bus Programme coordinated by HUMDA, Volanbusz, a unit of the state-owned MAV Group, has so far put 100 electric buses into service.
