Report: Hungarians Mark The Day Of National Unity

On Monday morning the Day of National Unity (also known as the Day of National Cohesion) was commemorated in Kossuth tér in front of the Hungarian Parliament with a ceremonial raising of Hungary’s national flag, accompanied by a guard of honour and the playing of the national anthem.

The Media Council of the media authority NMHH has rejected complaints that a documentary on Roma aired on March 7 was discriminatory, the NMHH announced. The film “Gipsy Way” by director László Pesty generated protests from individuals and organisations after it was broadcast on state television channel M1.
