Mobile phone application Viber is offering its Hungarian users free phone calls in one hundred countries worldwide for a week between June 20 and 27 via its service Viber Out. Viber has 2.7 million registered users in Hungary.

Government office chief János Lázár rejected a claim made by German daily Bild that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had deliberately misled the Austrian and German chancellors about Hungary’s migrant situation last year. The paper said Germany had expected to receive a few thousand migrants last September compared with the 20,000 that ended up on its border.

In the debate, Csaba Dömötör, state secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, insisted that cooperation with the opposition on the matter was not possible because “the opposition is mired in such affairs itself”.
