A while back Medián conducted a survey on anti-Semitism in Hungary. It just made its findings public. The document is almost forty pages long, full of tables and graphs, and defies being summarized in a few paragraphs. More than 9,000 billion forints (EUR 28.4bn) of European Union funding has been paid out in Hungary, government office chief János Lázár said about the 2007-2013 EU budget period. Tenders have already been invited for the 2014-2020 EU budget period amounting to 3 billion forints, he told a weekly government press briefing.

The Hungarian health authority ÁNTSZ has issued a heat alert for the weekend, the authority told MTI. From midnight on Saturday a third degree alert— the highest—will be in place for the following five days, with daily mean temperatures expected to exceed 27 C. in the country. The weather services forecast daily highs of 36, 37 and 38 C. from Monday to Wednesday.
