NATO is mulling establishing a permanent military presence in Hungary as part of a “spearhead” rapid reaction force along the organisation’s eastern frontier, German weekly Frankfurter Allegemeine Sonntagszeitung said. NATO will first establish the Force Integration Units in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Bulgaria, with Hungary to follow later, the paper said.
